Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) is a surgical procedure performed to improve blood flow to the heart muscle by bypassing blocked or narrowed coronary arteries. This is achieved by grafting a healthy blood vessel, usually taken from the patient's leg or chest to the affected coronary artery, allowing blood to flow to the heart muscle.
