Biography

Yetunde Asiedu, MD, is an internal medicine specialist with Yale Internal Medicine Associates who has a special interest in women’s health, family planning, and contraceptive management.

Dr. Asiedu initially wanted to become a psychiatrist, but she decided to pursue primary care so she could consider the “patient as a whole,” provide long-term continuity of care, and focus on both prevention and treatment of illness. She likes building relationships with patients. “What I find most fulfilling about primary care is being able to support my patients throughout their lifetime, through both their good times and their bad times,” she says.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Asiedu also appreciates being able to serve as an advocate for those who need that type of support, and train medical students and residents.
