Scott Roberts, MD

Biography

Scott Roberts, MD, is an infectious diseases specialist who cares for patients while they are in the hospital.

Dr. Roberts says he became a doctor so he could help others in their time of need while also gaining a better understanding of the pathophysiology of diseases. “I am excited by the challenge of medicine and seek to improve my practice with every patient I meet,” he says. “It has been a privilege to care for such a broad and diverse patient population as the one I’ve had the opportunity to work with in New Haven.”

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Roberts is associate medical director of infection prevention for the Yale School of Medicine. As a researcher, he is focused on preventing health care-associated infections developed in the hospital.
