Biography
Josep Panisello, MD, is a pediatric critical care specialist who cares for children with serious or life-threatening conditions that require close monitoring in an intensive care unit. He uses advanced techniques to support breathing, heart function, and other vital processes to help stabilize and improve children’s health.
A professor of pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Panisello contributes to research focused on improving outcomes for critically ill children, including advances in airway management in pediatric intensive care units. He explores new approaches to therapy and prevention, aiming to enhance recovery and quality of life.
Dr. Panisello received his medical training from the University of Navarra in Spain. He completed an internship in pediatrics at Saint Vincent Hospital, followed by a residency in pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian and a fellowship in pediatric intensive care at Yale School of Medicine.
