David Frumberg, MD, FAAOS
Biography
David Frumberg, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Yale School of Medicine. He is the director of the Cerebral Palsy Lifespan Program at Yale New Haven Hospital.
He specializes in complex orthopedic conditions that require more attention and care. He works closely with patients and their families to understand their needs and unique goals. He enjoys collaborating with other medical professionals to maximize the functioning and comfort of patients of all ages. Dr. Frumberg utilizes state of the art surgical techniques, and is devoted to providing his patients with innovative and compassionate care.
Dr. Frumberg is enthusiastic about providing lifelong care for patients with cerebral palsy and genetic and developmental disorders, and is one of the few orthopedists who also cares for adults with these conditions. He is proficient in observational gait analysis and advanced surgical techniques, using these skills to improve his patients’ abilities to walk, run, play sports, and interact with the world. He is devoted to studying the effect of aging in neurodevelopmental disorders, and how he can intervene to keep his patients performing to their highest abilities.
Dr. Frumberg also cares for patients with complex limb problems. He completed a traveling fellowship with the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society, where he received specialized training with the nation’s leading experts in complex limb reconstruction. He performs limb lengthening surgery and surgery to restore limb function for both children and adults.
