Catherine Salva, MD, MSEd

Catherine Salva, MD, is a gynecologist who specializes in minimally invasive gynecology. She manages a wide range of gynecologic conditions using techniques that rely on small incisions, which can help reduce recovery times. In procedures such as these, Dr. Salva strives to balance the most advanced methods with individualized care.

As a professor and vice chair of education in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Salva engages in research aimed at improving surgical approaches and patient outcomes. She seeks to refine existing procedures to enhance patient comfort and advance women’s health care overall.

Dr. Salva received her medical training from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, then completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
