For years, Teddy felt like he was swimming under water. A cataract was clouding his vision. It got so bad he had to quit his job, and he was struggling to do basic things, such as reading and driving.

He decided to have surgery at Yale Medicine because his case was not straightforward, and he wanted an ophthalmologist with an excellent track record in complex surgery. Thanks to the expert care of Ron Adelman, MD, and Ji Liu, MD, Teddy is now able to see clearly for the first time in about 20 years.

This short documentary follows Teddy as he undergoes cataract surgery, a procedure in which the clouded lens is removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens.
