Promoting Equity through a Culturally-Tailored Prostate Cancer Genetics Video for African American Males for Impact Long-term - PREVAIL Study
- Study HIC#:2000034160
- Last Updated:12/10/2024
Reducing barriers to engagement and completion of genetic testing for prostate cancer (PCA) among African American (AA) men is now imperative, since testing is increasingly informing treatment and management for men with PCA. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of a novel, culturally-tailored pretest genetic education video for uptake of genetic testing and patient-reported outcomes among AA men. This will be the first dedicated study of a pretest genetic education video in the PCA genetic evaluation setting for AA males.
