participants will donate 150 ml of blood (around 5 ounces, less than 1/3 of a regular Red Cross blood donation) for each visit. Participants will be compensated. In some occasions, the study participants may be requested to donate for additional times, but no sooner than 8 weeks.

Trial Purpose and Description
This study will create a Yale University blood repository that will be maintained by Dr. Ya-Chi Ho from the Department of Microbial Pathogenesis. The repository will be used for current and future research projects involving the study of HIV persistence mechanisms and strategies to treat HIV infection. Samples obtained from the same individual at different time points will be obtained at Yale University and affiliated health systems, or from research collaborators from other academic institutes, will be obtained.
Analysis of HIV infection, latency and immune escape mechanisms will be conducted by Dr. Ho and the co-investigators affiliated with the study. We wish to study the pathogenesis of HIV, which will facilitate the development of an HIV treatment and elimination strategy.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria
1) Adults, >18 years of age
2) Body weight >110 lb or 50 kg
3) Known HIV infection under regular antiretroviral therapy (ART) for >1 year
4) Not pregnant
5) No known anemia
