Impact of Reward and Frustration on Early Attention: Associations with Irritability in Young Adults

We are recruiting young adults ages 18 to 25 to participate in an EEG study to help us understand how mood symptoms impact brain responses. Participants will complete and online survey about their mood and personality and will play two computer games while we record their brain activity using EEG. Compensation is up to $80.

Trial Purpose and Description
The purpose of this study is to better understand the mechanisms of irritability by evaluating its associations with the neurophysiological, behavioral, and affective measures of reward processing in young adults.Young adults (ages 18-25 years) from both the community and local providers/clinics will be recruited.
Eligibility Criteria
- Ages 18 to 25
- no major medical illnesses or neurological disorders
- no alcohol or drug dependence
- no psychiatric diagnoses of the following: autism, bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia
