Uterine Cancer
Definition
Uterine cancer is a type of malignancy that originates in the cells of the uterus, the female reproductive organ responsible for housing and nourishing a developing fetus. It commonly occurs in the endometrial lining of the uterus and is referred to as endometrial cancer. Uterine cancer can also develop in the uterine muscle or other supporting tissues, known as uterine sarcoma.
