Transradial Coronary Angioplasty
Definition
Transradial coronary angioplasty is a minimally invasive medical procedure used to treat coronary artery disease by widening narrowed or blocked arteries. It involves inserting a catheter through the radial artery in the wrist, guiding it to the affected coronary artery, and inflating a small balloon to open the artery and restore blood flow. A stent may also be placed to keep the artery open.
