Stereotypic movement disorder is a neurological condition characterized by repetitive, non-functional, and involuntary movements or behaviors that interfere with daily functioning or cause self-injury. These movements can include hand waving, body rocking, head banging, or self-biting and are not attributable to another medical or psychological condition.
