Definition
Scheuermann's disease, also known as Scheuermann's kyphosis, is a spinal condition characterized by an abnormal curvature of the upper (thoracic) spine, causing a rounded or hunched back. It occurs due to the uneven growth of the vertebrae during adolescence, leading to wedge-shaped vertebrae and a forward curve in the spine.
