Definition
Otolaryngology is a branch of medicine that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT). This includes ear infections, hearing loss, sinusitis, allergies, sleep apnea, snoring, voice disorders, and head and neck cancers. Otolaryngologists also perform surgeries such as tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, ear tube placement, and other procedures to treat these conditions.
