Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)
Definition
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a type of lung cancer that originates in the epithelial cells lining the airways of the lungs. It is the most common form of lung cancer, accounting for approximately 85% of all cases. NSCLC is generally slower growing and less aggressive than small cell lung cancer, but it can still be life-threatening if not detected and treated early.
