Multifocal Motor Neuropathy

Definition

Multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN) is a rare neurological condition characterized by progressive, asymmetric muscle weakness and atrophy, primarily affecting the upper limbs. It is caused by damage to the motor nerves, often due to an autoimmune response. MMN is distinct from other neuropathies as it does not typically involve sensory deficits.
