Lumbar Spinal Stenosis
Definition
Lumbar spinal stenosis is a condition characterized by the narrowing of the spinal canal in the lower back (lumbar) region, which can cause compression of the spinal nerves and lead to pain, numbness, or weakness in the lower extremities. It is often a result of age-related degenerative changes, such as osteoarthritis, herniated discs, or thickened ligaments.
