Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma

Definition

Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) is a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that primarily affects the skin. It occurs when T-cells, a type of white blood cell, become malignant and accumulate in the skin, causing itchy, red, scaly patches or plaques. CTCL can progress slowly and may eventually involve lymph nodes and internal organs.
