Chronic Pulmonary Embolism

Definition

Chronic pulmonary embolism is a long-term medical condition characterized by the presence of one or more blood clots in the pulmonary arteries, leading to reduced blood flow and increased pressure in the pulmonary circulation. This can result in progressive damage to the lung tissue and may cause symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, and fatigue.
